Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Gain On Higher Spot Demand

New Delhi: Copper futures rose by 0.05 per cent to Rs857.80 per kilogram on Monday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for June delivery increased 40 paise or 0.05 per cent to Rs857.80 per kg in a business turnover of 4,189 lots.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices on Monday rose marginally by Rs1.25 to Rs239.10 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in June increased Rs1.25 or 0.52 per cent to Rs239.10 per kg in 2,154 lots.
Zinc futures decline on weak trend
Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.04 per cent to Rs255.05 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for June delivery traded lower by 10 paise or 0.04 per cent at Rs255.05 per kg in 1,474 lots.
